Ron Hawkins

22 years ago, Ron was asked to be the sponsored artist in a sidewalk chalk event in Orlando, Florida. He had never drawn in such a large-scale before but he took on the challenge regardless, and hasn’t looked back since.

Ron is inspired by Monet’s artwork and as such creates his artwork with an impressionistic feeling. Most of his creations have an underlining meaning for the interpretation of the viewer; animals and landscapes being the focus. He loves creating his artwork and meeting various artists. Each festival brings in new techniques taught to him by some of the best artists in the world.

- “I consider this a form of Zen art. You start with a blank sidewalk, create artwork and let nature (sometimes the festival) take it back to its previous state.” -
